play is based on the the true story of Peter and Helen Groker who, in 1961, were
arrested and convicted of spying for the Russians and the tale is told through
the eyes of the Jackson family - Bob, Barbara and their teenage daughter Julie
- the Krogers' closest friends! First the Jacksons receive a phone call followed
by a visit from MI5, requesting the use of their home as a surveillance post.
The last they thing they expect when they agree is that the focus point of MI5
is the Krogers. The lives of the Jacksons are slowly shattered as Barbara finds
that lying to her friends rips her apart emotionally and physically.
